May 2025 - Jess’s thesis defense/graduation

Jess knocked our socks off as the first student to officially defend a thesis from the Green Lab. In just 5 years, Jess developed an entirely new tumor model in the lab which included loads of new reagents and resources, including in vivo models of ovarian cancer. Her elegant thesis work showed that APOBEC3A promotes mutagenesis and drives metastasis in ovarian cancer. She also managed to raise a beautiful daughter, Audrey, who turned 1 right when Jess graduated. Kudos to Jess for making the whole lab look good! We are so lucky that she's staying on as a post-doc to work on the next chapter of this story.
